• 3.0 out of 5 stars from JoanneR -- Misleading; this is 2 short books, not 1 : I bought this thinking it was one book. Turns out it’s 2 books in one. Both have female leads, both (I guess) could be considered “jailhouse lawyers”, but I don’t like feeling I was misled. On the whole, the books are okay, nothing special, and had I known it was broken into 2 books, I wouldn’t have purchased it. I should know better, really, since James Patterson has consistently been disappointing me for at least the past 5 years. Now I’ll only buy Alex Cross books and stop hoping for a miracle, which is that the writer who wrote great books is gone & in his place is someone who just wants to write as many books as possible, quantity over quality. Each went way out of the way to help clients in whatever way they could, legally, of course. Neither story rushes at the end to get everything in as so many do. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Amazon Customer -- Jaihouse lawyer : Absolutely brilliant. I like the way in the 2nd story the peratraitors got what they deserve. Great ending certainly didnt suspect the lawyers father of committing the crime. What a great way of him getting away with it by having Alzheimers.. These sorts of things go on in real life and the people who commit the crime deserve the death penalty.
